Every year, Surf Maroc replaces its old soft board with new ones. But of course, anything in good conditions never goes to waste! Along with spare leashes and equipment, all our old foamies are donated to local surf schools that teach local kids to surf.

We stand with the rest of the world with the fight against plastics in our beautiful ocean. By making some small yet significant changes, Surf Maroc locations have become completely plastic-free. Including the installation of water fountains for reusable bottles, eliminating straws and introducing re-usable lunch boxes, we are making big steps to reducing our impact on the environment.

We’re passionate about keeping our local area beautiful, clean and harmless to the ocean. To help, we employ beach cleaners to keep areas by our locations litter free. This small daily action not only helps our environment but is also encouraging others to think before they drop!

All of our products are seasonal and locally sourced.  By using local suppliers, we’re able to support the local community, reduce our impact on the environment and provide our guests with the best, freshest produce. We’re very proud to be working with Our herbs and goat’s cheese comes from Domaine De Khenfouf, an organic farm, and vegetables come from a community organic farming project.

When ever the opportunity arises, Surf Maroc hosts and partakes in low key events for its staff and guests to help raise money and awareness for local causes. Sadly being a tourist hotspot sitting on the ocean, we regularly find our beaches littered from visitors and washed up from the ocean. Often our lovely guests and surf guides want to lend a hand while they’re at surf spots. So we’ve popped Beach Clean Up kits into all of our surf vans in case of any litter in found at locations and brought back to be disposed of safely!

We also host a monthly Beach Cleans in Partnership with Surfrider Foundation. On the first Wednesday of every month, at 4.30pmwe meet outside the Surf Maroc Shop and pop in a van to the chosen spot of the month. And all hard work cleaning is rewarded with tea and brownies. Join us!

Every Tuesday, at 10.30am, we welcome our guests and the local community to practice yoga while raising money for our charity of the month. All-level yogis are invited to come, simply donate a few dirhams to our Donations Jar, and enjoy an hour of feel-good yoga.

Plastic consumption, especially of water bottles, is all too common. To help reduce this, we have installed water fountains in all of our locations that provide fresh, safe water for our guests to use. All we ask is for guests to bring reusable water bottles on holiday, and for

Morocco is yet to have a nationwide recycling scheme, making it difficult for small towns like ours to be able to recycle. However, by collaborating with Magval, a recycling company in Agadir, we have been able to set up our own Surf Maroc recycling system. In all of our locations, we are now able to recycle paper, plastic, glass and tin with it being safely collected and taken for recycling.
