These days we’re armed with sun lotion, water and hats, and have our towels laid out by 5am bagging our sunlounger for the day. Surf Maroc summer is here!! And although spending our days lazing and cooking ourselves is very tempting, us surfers soon get itchy feet. There’s nothing like the summer season to give us a reason to turn up the heat and have a little fun. That is what Surf Maroc does best…So we have filled our social calendar with loads of fun things to keep us busy between sunbathing sessions if you’d care to join us…

Tacos x tequila x tattoos – Keeping it cool in the hot. We’ve got live music with Saad El baraka photo exhibition with Yassine Sellame , 20-minute pocket tattoos with Luliana from Russia, Tacos to taste, pool photo booth all this whilst sippin’ some tequila cocktails. Summer never looked so cool
IDIOTS FOR GOOD
We are delighted to be supporting the wonderful Idiots for Good this summer. This association was founded by our own receptionist, Sofiane, and his friends two years ago with the simple aim of helping the local community. In just two years, they have helped over 50 families by collecting homeware goods and blankets, plus have rebuilt and refurbished 2 houses. Now they’re preparing to build and redecorate their third house, we had to help! By raising money through our weekly Community Class every Tuesday for June, as well as collecting blankets, clothes and homeware throughout the summer, we’re trying to do our little bit to help make a difference!
Tara’s back!
For the summer, we have a Surf Maroc yoga legend return – Tara South. Three years ago she left us after working three years being our only yoga teacher as well as Villa Mandala manager. We are absolutely thrilled to have her back for our summer Head Yogi, and she’s already getting us flowing, sweating and laughing in yoga masterclasses and classes. With 10 years of teaching experience with yoga qualifications in many styles of yoga from Ashtanga yoga, Prana Flow, Vinyasa, Power, Rocket, Restorative, Hot Power, Tripsicore, Prenatal, Restorative and Yin Yoga styles, we’re filling up our diaries with Tara classes this summer!
Villa Mandala 10 year Anniversary
Speaking of yoga, we are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Villa Mandala’s Yoga Surf Retreats. We’ve had a decade of amazing memories, and it’s an occasion that we’re not letting slide past! To mark this special date, we have a special Moroccan Adventure Yoga Surf Retreat on August 3rd. With a week of surf coaching, yoga with the amazing Tara, Moroccan themed evenings and adventurous excursions, we have a real treat lined up. And we cannot wait to celebrate!
Beach Fun
As you know, we’re loving the mellow waves and swells delivering in Taghazout. But sometimes, we need a break from surfing and fancy playing around on the beach and taking it easy! We love taking our guests for a stand-up paddle, challenging them to a volleyball match and playing games until the sun goes down. And if the beach gets too hot, we have so many other things to do as well! Never a rainy duvet day here (sadly…)
Sunday pool party
And when we’ve just about had enough of the beach, the waves and all the fun out and about, there’s nothing better than to kick back by the Amouage pool and have a bit of fun. With a pop-up pool bar, inflatables and music playing, there’s no better way to end the week than with our pool party. Every Sunday, all summer long (and winter!).
