Hot News: WSL is coming to Anchor Point!!

Wednesday 11th December 2019

It’s finally dropped. The World Surf League (WSL) is coming to Anchor Point on 25 January 2020! After months of rumours and suspense, the QS5,000 Pro Taghazout Bay has been announced. And we cannot wait.

We like to rave on about Anchors – it’s right-handers and beaut lines are always popping up on our feed. This world-renowned wave, arguably the best in North Africa, is a local favourite. As Ramzi Boukhaim, Moroccan professional surfer says:

“I’m really stoked to finally see my home spot shine. I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy our waves and the beautiful culture. It’s fantastic to have this first big QS in Morocco, especially on a world class wave. 2020 is going to be a big year with major goals, having the Olympics, and my qualification on the CT. I’m ready!”

We’re thrilled that the spot that’s literally on our doorstep is getting some well-deserved attention. In fact, we’re so close, guests at Amouage can watch surfers catching waves from our infinity pool! Best view in the house!

We’re of course going to keep you posted with all the hot news and updates on the WSL event. Meanwhile, here are some tasty pictures and video to give you a flavour on what the competition will be having fun with!
