In 2003, two uni mates opened the Surf Maroc doors with a few old wetsuits, surfboards and a transit van. Fifteen years later, we still have the same two uni mates, but now Surf Maroc has become Morocco’s leading yoga and surf holiday company. Now with 4 locations and a lot more vans, boards and wetsuits (all new, of course). We could not let this incredible journey and anniversary go without celebrating big, and for the past month, we did.
And Thursday night was the pinnacle spectacular with the Est.2003 party.
By day, Amouage was transformed from boutique hotel to a glamourous 70’s Plam Springs mansion. Our poolside area was decked out with chandeliers, bright flowers, 70’s style furniture, gorgeous drapes, a disco ball and more to make it almost unrecognisable. And by night, colourful lights shimmered and the DJ booth was set up ready for the party of the year!
As the guests appeared dressed-up in their chicest 70’s outfits, we really felt like we had gone back in time to a true 70’s pool party. We had rollerbladers, 70’s surfers, fur jackets, funky pants and big sunglasses galore! With the music starting, cocktails flowing and BBQ served, the evening vibe was already electric. But as more guests arrived including many friends from Taghazout who had all been part of Surf Maroc journey, the real celebrations began. With the best tunes, disco lights, bubbles, boogying…and of course birthday cake…it was truly a night to remember!
